Because heat pumps use far less energy to produce the same amount of hot water, they reduce the greenhouse gas emissions from your home. The VEU program turns those savings into certificates, which Accredited Providers use to lower the installed price.
How much is the rebate?
The exact amount depends on the system size, the property type and whether you are replacing an electric or gas hot water unit. Many households save hundreds to over a thousand dollars on the installed cost. The rebate is applied at the point of sale, so you do not need to wait for a refund.
Who can install the system?

What to expect during installation
A standard heat pump changeover usually takes one day. We remove the old unit, install the new heat pump on a stable base, connect plumbing and electrical, and then walk you through the controls. Most units are quiet enough for residential use and come with a tank warranty of five to ten years.
