Air Conditioning Rebates in Victoria: What You Need to Know

If you are replacing an old or inefficient heating and cooling system, a high-efficiency reverse-cycle air conditioner may qualify for a VEU rebate. The rebate applies to the installation of approved energy-efficient units that reduce your overall energy use.

Which systems qualify?

The VEU program covers approved split-system and ducted reverse-cycle air conditioners that meet minimum energy efficiency standards. The unit must usually replace an older, less efficient electric or gas heater to create the energy saving that the rebate is based on.

How the rebate is applied

The rebate is applied as a discount on your installed price by a VEU Accredited Provider. Greener Upgrade is an AP under the program (A003285), so we can assess your home, recommend an approved system, and reduce the price using the VEU certificates.

What brands are available?

We supply and install a range of efficient reverse-cycle systems from leading brands including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin and Midea. You can see the full range on our air conditioning page.

Is your home eligible?

Most Victorian homes are eligible if they are replacing an inefficient existing heater. The best way to confirm is to book a free assessment. We check the existing system, the room sizes, insulation and switchboard capacity.
